Passed peacefully with family by her side on Friday, September 13, 2019. Karen, aged 66, was much loved by daughter Amy Pepper (John Pegg), grandchildren Jane and John, brother Andy (Susan), nephews Angus and Struan (Chloe). Karen was born and raised in Etobicoke. A math whiz at school, she went on to Queens University and captained a successful marketing business in Toronto for many years prior to moving to Mount Forest. After a 10 year career with the TD bank, Karen retired to enjoy volunteering, her cats, travel, gardening, friends and family. She was a loving, generous and compassionate person who met others’ needs ahead of her own. Karen had a smile and kind word for everyone she came in contact with. Some of her most joyful times were at the pond with the children. She loved her life in Mount Forest. Karen touched us all in a special way and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Karen’s life will be held at the Mount Forest United Church, 175 Queen Street East, Mount Forest on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Cancer Patient Services or Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Karen Keir..
