Obituary for Joyce Dobbin
Peacefully on September 24, 2019 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia Betty JOYCE DOBBIN (nee Ward) went to be with her husband in Heaven at the age of 87. Beloved wife to the late Newton ROSS DOBBIN (2004). Loving mother to Kathy (Scott) Machesney, Terry (Karen Harris) Dobbin, Lisa (the late Craig 2014) Moffatt, Murlena (Jeff) Somerville. Cherished grandma to Dale Machesney, Daren (Tracey) Machesney, Jamie (Jason) Armstrong, Brandi Warner, Cody (Alex) Warner, Dan (Maddie) Warner, Bailey Moffatt and Murissa Moffatt, Eric Somerville, and Joel Somerville. Great grandma to Jayden, Riley, Emerson, Wyatt, and Sawyer. Joyce will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and inlaws. Joyce was also the loving foster mother to Edna (the late Robert) Cann. She was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Muriel Ward and her siblings, Ken Ward, Ray Ward, Mildred Johnson, and Martha Barnes. Joyce was a turkey farmer and reflexologist for many years. She was a voracious reader, who loved to paint and relax at the cottage when she wasn’t shopping or pampering herself at her favourite manicurist. Visitors will be received by the family on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia, where a funeral service will take place on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a private interment in Wyoming Cemetery.
