Josette Anne Many Guns (Blackfoot Name-Highway Woman –omah’ko’soo’ka’bii) of Siksika Nation passed away suddenly on Friday August 30, 2019 at the age of 29 years. Josette was born November 10, 1989. She is survived by her Children: Matthew, Joseph, Hailey and Acacia. Special niece: Angsley Running Rabbit, Parents: Carl Many Guns (Barb) and Carla Calf. Adopted Parents: Arthur and Sissy Scalplock. Grandparents: Evelyn Many Guns, Jerry and Yvonne Black Horse, Gerald and Laura Sitting Eagle, Roberta Pelltier, Bryan Stevens (Jeanette) siblings sisters: Melissa Running Rabbit (Keith) and Lori Buffalo, brothers: Peter Calf (Heather), Thomas Many Guns, Colton Bear Chief, Julius Peace Maker and Adam Red Crow (Kara). Numerous uncles, aunties and relatives. Predeceased by her great-great grandparents: Thomas and Josette Many Guns, Simon and Mary Sitting Eagle, Grand Parents: Carl Sr Many Guns, Irvin Sr Calf, Clara Calf and uncle Donnie and Vince Many Guns Aunties Wanda and Cindy Many Guns, Uncle Irvin Calf Jr. Josette was a very outgoing, loving, kind and compassionate person with a smile that could light up the room. Josette would often put the needs of others above her own and would go out of the way to help out in any way she could. She was a loving mother and cherished every moment with her children. Everyone that knew her will remember her humour and contagious laugh. Josette was very athletic. She enjoyed cross country, hockey and baseball. Josette made her Cursillo on Mother’s Day 2008 (Amazing Grace). Wake services will be held at 1 pm at Gordon Yellowfly Memorial Arbour on September 5, 2019.
