1924 – 2019
The family announces with great sorrow her death at home on Thursday September 26, 2019 at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her husband Moe in 2004. Dear mother of Brian (Holly) of Timmins. Loving grandmother of Laura (Nigel), Clint (Stephanie), Kelly (Troy) and Keith. Great grandmother of Ethan, Nolan, Oscar, Samantha (Mike), Matthew and Hayden. Dear sister of Joseph Nora (Rae) of Chicago. She will be missed by Laura and Clint’s mother Henrietta. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, the family dog Chili, the Morissette family and by her special cousin and friend Anne Mascioli. Predeceased by her sisters Ines Pasqual and Elvira Columbo and by her brother John Nora. Josephine volunteered for the TDH Ladies Auxiliary, the Lord’s Kitchen and was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 88 and 287. The family wish to thank Barbara Demers, Brenda Dubé, Marjorie Deering, Kelly Richards, Jessika Breton, Nadine Nora, Sarah Bisson, Nancy Cecchini, Dr. Griffiths, the palliative care team, Bayshore and the nurses and doctors at TDH for the care and compassion Josephine received. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 10am at Sacred Heart Parish. Interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
