John James “Jack” Hodgins
June 28, 1935 – September 19, 2019
Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Thursday September 19th, 2019 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Marilyn Hodgins (nee Stack) for 61 years. Loving father of Chris (Nora), Shawn (Betty Anne), Andrea Hare (James) and the late Patrick. Proud grandfather of Matthew (Miranda), Emily Steveson (Andrew), Megan Hodgins and Jordan Hare and great grandfather of Ada Steveson. Jack is pre-deceased by his parents William and Catherine Hodgins. Dear brother of Kay Weber (Ross) and Barbara Koritko (the late Joseph) and pre-deceased by his sisters Mary Finlayson (Malcolm), Gertrude Faught (John), Bernice Laberge (Peter), Frances Muraska (Bill) and Joyce Huneault (Mike) and brothers Leonard (Mary) and William. Jack is survived by William’s wife Maureen and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Grafton on Tuesday September 24th at 1 pm. with visiting at the back of the church from 12 noon until 1 pm. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Grafton. If lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sick Kids Building Fund or Northumberland Hills Hospital Palliative Care.
