It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of John Lewis McNeil, also known as “Gus” on August 24, 2019 in Vernon, BC. Gus was an avid sports enthusiast, who thoroughly enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club for over 20 years. He also enjoyed skiing and playing crib. He is survived by his brother Bill (Mae) McNeil and sister Linda (Rosie) McNeil and numerous nephews and nieces. Gus will be forever loved and missed by all those who knew him. There will be a Celebration of Life held for Gus from 11:00am-3:00pm on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Elk’s Hall (3103 30 St, Vernon, BC). Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (1551 Sutherland Ave #4, Kelowna, BC V1Y 9M9).
