SMITH: Jean Beverley (Black) – On Saturday, September 21, Mom quietly left us to join Dad. Mom was born March 5, 1937 and married Ken Smith In 1957. At one time Mom worked at the Switchboard in Brechin for the Robertson’s and was later employed by the Township of Mara in the Municipal Offices for many years with Archie Newman and Lenore O’Donnell. Together Mom and Dad raised four children; Darlene (Eldon), Dale, Wayne (Lacey) and Bud (Liesa). She is the proud Grandma of 11 grandchildren – Troy (Jessica), Tyler (Danielle), Darci, Brad (Kristin), Brent (Michelle), Katie (Dave), Tim, Emily, Ellise, Isaiah and Cloey. And GG to Nolan, Olivia, Keegan, Ari, Maddison, Macy. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Alma Black and brothers Edward, Roy, Everett (Margaret predeceased), William, Elmer and Donald and sisters Lila (Howard predeceased) and Mary. Survived by her brother Mackenzie (Violet) and sisters-in-law Blanch and Joan, brothers-in-law Don (Cathy predeceased), Tom (Rene), Phil (Pat) and sister-in-law Betty (Larry). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. On behalf of Mom we would like to thank the people at Para Med for providing Mom with two wonderful PSW’s – Barb and Robin. They helped make Mom’s last year of life easier and more pleasant. Visitation will be held at Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton on Wednesday September 25th from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service will be held at the Mangan Funeral Home on Thursday September 26, at 11 A.M. If desired memorial donations to the Charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
