Long Time Employee of Glengarry Transport
Peacefully at the Perth Hospital with loved ones at his side. Sterling passed on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the age of 87. Beloved partner of Kathleen Johnson. Dear father of Shelley (Tim Purdy), Marlene (Barry Goddard), Heather (Delmer Sample), and Jim (Sheryl). Fondly remembered by Beth Hewitt, mother of his children.
Predeceased by daughter Sheryl (Ross MacGregor).… Read More » Son of the late Harvey and Elva Hewitt. Brother of Leonard (Kathy). Predeceased by his sister Daina (John Bradley), brother Graham (Sheila). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
At Sterling’s request there will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held for his family.
Arrangements are with the O’Dacre Family Funeral Home, in Perth.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Alain Gauthier and the nursing staff on the 2nd floor for the excellent care that our Dad received.
