CRISPO, James Robert “Jim”
“Critter” – Blind River,
Ontario
October 26, 1955 – September 6, 2019
With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Jim at
the North Shore Health Network, Blind River, Ontario, surrounded by
his loving family and his lifelong friends, in his
64th year.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Pamphillis (Mattie)
Stanislawski, of Elliot Lake, Ontario, and the late James
Crispo.
Jim had a lifelong career with the Liquor Control Board of
Ontario (LCBO), and he also owned the Lakeview Inn and Restaurant in
Blind River. He had many outdoor interests and spent much of his time
hunting, fishing, ATVing, snowmobiling, and loving everyday. His
proudest achievement was building his own log
home.
We may never be able to see him again, but he will live in
our hearts forever.
Forever loved and in the heart of his wife Terry (nee Dean),
whom he adored. Cherished stepfather of Scott English (Linzi), Patrick
Huffman (Krystle), Steven Huffman (Jenny), and Kelly Wagg (Colin).
Treasured “Papa Moose” to Devon, Konnor, Mitchell,
Autumn, and Poppy. Brother of David Crispo, Mark Crispo,
Yvonne Crispo, and Louise McCuaig (Paul); and stepbrother of Joe
Stanislawski (Goody) and Barb Godin (Ben). Brother-in-law of Karen
VonPickartz (Gerrie), Rick Dean (Cindy), Michel Lahaie, and Dave Fete.
He will be missed dearly by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends. Father of James Crispo (Dominique) and Calvin Crispo. Jim
leaves a host of relatives in the Havre Boucher, Mattie Settlement,
and Tracadie areas of Nova Scotia.
Predeceased by his stepfather Edmund Stanislawski; sister,
Julia Lahaie; mother-in-law, Loretta Dean; stepfather-in-law, Bert
Vandendriessche; stepbrother Edmund Stanislawski; stepsister, Marianne
Fete; and niece, Kara Bouillon.
To our numerous friends who were supportive and reached out
with their time, thoughts and prayers…thank
you.
Visitation will be held Thursday in St. Peter’s
Place, Tracadie from 2pm until time of funeral at 4:30pm in St.
Peter’s Church, Reverend Bill Crispo presiding.
Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Havre Boucher.
Donations in Jim’s memory can be made to a sick
kid’s hospital of your choosing, to St. Michael’s
