Irene Wolfe(Mossman, Knock)
1933-2019
WOLFE (Mossman, Knock),
Irene Gladys- 86 of Bridgewater, formerly of Petite Riviere, passed
away September 19, 2019 in Hillside Pines Home For Special Care,
Bridgewater. Born in Rosebay, she was a daughter of the late Ronald
and Gladys (Ernst) Mossman. Irene grew up in Rose Bay and
then lived
the majority of her life in Kingsburg. She later moved to Petite
Riviere. Irene was a devoted member of St. Andrew’s
Presbyterian Church in Rose Bay, a choir member and the Sunday School
Superintendent for many years. She than became a member of Knox
Presbyterian Church in West Dublin and was a choir member also. She
loved playing the piano, having sing-songs, and playing the accordian.
She was an excellent baker as her cinnamon buns and homemade brown
bread were her specialties. She also loved to knit socks and mittens,
always had knitting needles in her hands while watching TV. She baked
for so many Bake Sales at the church, also donated a lot of her knit
items for these sales also. Irene loved life, and always had a ready
smile, and was always so very welcoming to anyone who would come to
visit. She is survived by her son James Knock (Christine), Upper
Lahave; grandsons Jacob Knock (Jody), Pine Grove, Jeffrey Knock,
Portage LaPrairie MB, Tim Fry (Karrie-Ann), Nanoose Bay BC, Todd Fry,
Debden SK; great-grandchildren Abigail and Alex, Brody, Rose; brother
Albert Mossman (Alice), Fredericton NB; son-in-law Keith Fry; Step
Daughter Elizabeth Conrad (Bernard); step-son Maynard (Barb Smith),
and their families; Step Daughter-in-law Corrine; numerous nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Carson L Knock;
daughter RoseMarie Fry; second husband Firmin Wolfe; step-son Randall
Wolfe; sister Margaret Wentzell; brother-in-law Alan Wentzell. Funeral
service will be held 2:00pm Monday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home,
Wileville, where the family will receive friends from 1:00pm until
prior to service at 2:00pm. Interment will be held in Knox
Presbyterian Cemetery, Dublin Shore. Immediate Family flowers only.
