HUBERT DOBER

It is with broken hearts that the
family of the late HUBERT DOBER of St. Lawrence announces his
passing. Hubert passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health
Care Center in Burin on September 26th, 2019 at
the age of 89. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful
memories are his: sons, John Slaney (Regina) of Winsor, ON, Noel
Slaney (Dianne) of Surrey, BC, Brian Slaney (Brenda) of Ft. McMurray,
AB, Walter Slaney (Debbie) of Calgary, AB, and Dean Slaney (Heather
Anne) of Calgary, AB; daughters, Joan Turpin (Patrick) of St.
Lawrence, Virginia Keating (William) of Lawn, Rhoda Crant (Brian) of
Lawn, Elizabeth Rennie (John) of New Brunswick, and Lisa Quirke of St.
Lawrence; 22 grandchildren, with special mention of John Glen Doyle,
Josee Quirke, and Ethan Stanford; 18 great-grandchildren; brother,
Bernard Dober (Lenora) of Mooring Cove; special friend, Hubert
Rideout; plus a large circle of extended family and
friends. Hubert was predeceased by his wife, Leona Dober;
his parents, John and Theresa Dober; daughter, Cora Doyle; grandsons,
Joshua Doyle, and Brian Slaney Jr; brothers, Jerome and Tom Dober;
sisters, Helen Thorne, Mary Rideout, Maude Dober, Bridget Brake, and
Rita Barry.
In keeping with Hubert’s
wishes, cremation will take place.
Funeral Service will take place at
St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church in St. Lawrence on Wednesday,
October 2nd, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
Inurnment to follow at Mt. Cecilia
Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Lawrence
