Obituary of Grace Lynch
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ina Grace Lynch (nee MacMillan) on Monday, September 16, 2019 at her residence the Loch Lomond Villa. Born on February 17, 1921 in Montague, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Angus William and Mary Lois (nee Bears) MacMillan.
Grace was predeceased by her husband, Harvey A. Lynch in 1976 and her special friend and companion, Norman H. Jones in 2004.
Grace is survived by her son, Frank Blake (Lois) of Maine and her grandchildren. Coming from a family of 14 she will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She spent much of her childhood in Quincy, Massachusetts and also lived in California. She also enjoyed living on PEI and the Magdalen Islands before moving to Halifax and then to Saint John in 1944. Grace worked at Simms brush factory for 15 years before retiring from St. Joseph’s Hospital after 25 years of service.
Grace’s family would like to thank the staff of the Loch Lomond Villa – Elm House for their kindness and care that they always provided to Ina Grace.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will take place on Monday, September 23, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and will be immediately followed by the funeral service starting at 12:00 PM, all from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Salvation Army or Loch Lomond Villa Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
