Glena Doreen Olcen Thompson

Olcen, Glena Doreen (Thompson) formerly of McGillivary Township, passed away at Chartwell Long Term Care in Parkhill, on Tuesday, Sept 10, 2019.
Glena married Norm Tripp and together they raised their family of Gary, Velda (2018) (Tony) , Daryl (Dianne), Leanna (Alan), Collin (Angie), Kevin (Liza). Glena later married Ross Horner and lived in Shipka before his passing. Glena found love again in her husband Patrick who among other interests, she shared a love of travel.
Glena leaves a legacy in her 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. An extended family to love and take enormous pride in. Glena will be missed by her siblings Tom (Barb) and Lorna (Warren), and is predeceased by her parents, brother Bill, daughter Velda, and grandson Tim.
Glena was a teacher in Mount Carmel, Exeter and Zurich for many years, accomplishing much in adversity, including attaining her BA through night courses. Along the way, Glena became a member of the Quilter’s Guild, Glena was a woman of many talents. Not being one to sit at the sewing machine for long, Glena also played baseball and travelled the world while keeping strong in her faith.
The family would like to offer a special thank you for the exceptional care and compassion given during Glena’s time at Chartwell in Parkhill.
