Obituary of George “Russ” Russell Patterson
Patterson, George “Russ” Russell —
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance – Chatham Campus on September 7th, 2019 at the age of 83.
Born in Dawn Township, George was the son of the late Clayton and Rose (nee Thompson) Patterson.
Beloved husband to the late Patricia Patterson (2013).
Greatly missed by his children Brian Patterson, Brenda Carron, Barb Elgie (Brent), Tracey Wickett (Don), and Lori Derynck (Chris).
Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Beth Anne, Carrie (Joe), Scott; Tara (Tyler) and Sarah (Sean); Taylor (Ashley); Trynity and Lucas.
Proud great-grandfather to Brayden and Aubrey; Kiera and Sawyer, and Mayelle; Helaina.
Brother to Lenora Taylor (the late Joe).
Brother-in-law to Geri LaMarsh (the late Ron).
Russ will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Family will receive guests on Wednesday, September 11th, 2019 from 3:00 – 5:00pm & 7:00 – 9:00pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St, Chatham. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00am at the Funeral Home with Rev. David Tatsu officiating. A Burial in Maple Leaf Cemetery to follow the service.
Donations made in memory of Russ may be made to the Pet and Wildlife Rescue or a charity of choice.
