With heavy hearts we have to say goodbye to a great man Geno Gagne born in Dawson Creek. He is predeceased by his parents Jerry and Mary, sister Alice, brother-in-law Sid, brother Marcell, sister Annette, and brother-in-law Harry. He leaves behind his wife Tammy, stepdaughters Kristine (Chris), Jamie (Rocky), Erin (Bill); grandchildren Emily, Jordan, Jake, Josh, Billy, Madison, Randi, and Ryder; great-grandchildren Connor and Marissa; nephews Daryl (Deb), Dan, Kevin, and Dalton; nieces Debra, Diana (Dean), Donna,Tracey, Laura, (Clint) Chelsea, and Malia; father and mother in-law Dale and Pat Weaver, sisters-in-law Shannon (Barney) brother-in-law Darren (Heather), great-nephew Johnny, Joey, David, and Damian; great-nieces Sarah, Rena, Emma, Sophia, Frya, Breanna, and Destiny; and Kane his faithful companion, and many other family and friends who were family to him.
Geno spent the first chapter of his life with family and friends in Dawson Creek, where he was a letter carrier, where he spent his time hunting fishing and quading with family and friends. Until he moved to Lake Cowichan to start his second chapter with Tammy and his instant family and continued as a letter carrier and formed many new friendships. But made his trips back home to see his family and friends, through travel Geno and Tammy found their place in the sun and made many trips to Cuba with friends and to meet up with the new friends made on their travels.
A Celebration of Life was held at the Lake Cowichan Firehall on December 15, 2018 @ 2 pm – #3 North Shore Drive, Lake Cowichan, BC. V0R 2G0. A celebration will be held in Dawson Creek on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 7:00pm at the Bear’s Den Pub (12121 8th St).
