Garry W. Magee, born in Toronto on March 30, 1941, passed away peacefully on Monday August 26, 2019.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife Julia, son Michael and daughter Amanda as well as an adoring extended family. He will be remembered for his amazingly wide knowledge, his stoicism and his dry sense of humour. We will cherish the many happy memories we had with him.
A family funeral will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Parish Catholic Church at 4925 Cambie Street on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 2.00 p.m.
His friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 5.30 p.m. at The Wicklow Pub, formerly Stamps Landing, in False Creek.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
