Frederick Dixon Young
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Frederick Dixon Young. On Saturday, September 21, 2019, loving husband and father of three, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at the age of 87.
Fred is predeceased by his first wife, Kaye. He is survived by his second wife, Jeannie Mackay, sons Fred (Sharon), David (Heather), William (Diana), grandchildren Scott, Ashleigh, Laura, Katie, Andrew, Thomas and Catherine, and great grandchildren Madison, Conner and Claire.
The family extends sincere thanks to Fred’s many friends for their support over the past several years. Thank you to the staff at Victoria General Hospital, Riverwood Square, Extendicare Tuxedo Villa and St. Boniface Hospital for the care and compassion extended to Fred, and his entire family.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers friends might care to make a donation in Fred’s name to the Manitoba Lung Association.
