Evelyn Eleanor Oliphant was born at Brock, Saskatchewan on June 23, 1941. She passed away peacefully at the Didsbury hospital on January 18, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughter Kim (Tim), grandchildren, Amanda (Freddy), Ryan, Andrea, Kaylie, Rhianna and Great-Grandchildren, Gracie and Maia and numerous close cousins and friends. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Dorothy Hobbs, her sister Marge White and brothers Warren and Arnold Hobbs with whom she is now reunited. She was loved dearly by her family and everyone whose lives she made better with her presence. She was a wonderful, strong woman who always showed how much she cared. She will forever be missed. A Celebration of Evelyn’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Crossfield Community Centre, 900 Mountain Ave., Crossfield. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Olds & District Hospice Society in Evelyn’s name.
