Obituary for Eric George Lord
Passed away peacefully with family by his side on September 7, 2019 at the age 78 years at the Erie Shores Health Care. Beloved husband of Janet (Brown), father of Linda Lord and grandfather of (Jon) Nolan Lord and (Kathryn) Livia Lord. Pre-deceased by his parents Anna (Voakes) and Bill Lord. Dear brother of Bill Lord (Cathy), Tom Bain (Brenda), Gary Bain (Pat) and ‘Bro’ Arnie Palmer (Lenore). Brother-in-law of Janet Brown (Doug). Eric is survived by many nieces and nephews. Eric was a devoted family man and he was proud to have made his living as a farmer. He was a school bus driver for 46 years and an Ontario Crop Insurance agent for 10 years. The family is grateful to Dr. Krayacich, Dr. Kanjeekal, and Dr. Dhar. A special thank you to the amazing staff at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre who cared for Eric for more than 11 years. We will always be grateful. Visitation at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. N, Es on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 12 noon at the Woodslee United Church until time of the funeral at 1 p.m. (wheelchair accessible). Interment Woodslee United Church Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Blood Services, Windsor, ON, the Woodslee Pastoral Charge Mission and Service Fund or the Canadian Food Grain Bank.
