Ellen Louise (Harris) Dickison, wife of the late Ian Dickison of Central NB Nursing Home, formerly of Elm Street, Doaktown passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 at her late residence, at the age of 87.
Born in Bloomfield Ridge NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Orlo (Brown) Harris. She was a retired book keeper for Dickison Drug Store in Doaktown, a member of St. Thomas United Church, Doaktown, member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 23 and also the Ladies Auxiliary.She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by two daughters; Judy Layton (Richard) of Moncton and Linda Harding (Wilfred) of New Bandon, two sons; Ian Jr. Dickison (Dana) of New Bandon and Chris Dickison of Alberta, one grandchild.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one son Keith Dickison and five brothers; Howard, Harry, William, Paul and Keith Harris.
Ellen Louise Dickison is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 579 Main Street, Doaktown, with visitation on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A graveside service will follow in the United Church Cemetery, Back Road, Doaktown, with Reverend Paul McGrattan officiating.
