ANDERSON, Elizabeth “Betty” – It is with deep sadness the family of Betty Anderson (nee McAninch) announces her passing on Thursday, September 19, 2019 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Patrick Anderson (2005). Loving mother of John Anderson and Gerry Anderson (Annie Boucher). Cherished sister of William McAninch of England, grandmother of Jordan, Jared, Rachel and Patrick. Dear mother-in-law of Kimberly Anderson. Sister-in-law of Susan McAninch, Marge McAninch and Mary Anderson of Scotland. Predeceased by her infant twin daughters Mary and Rose, parents Mary and James McAninch, brothers James McAninch, John McAninch, Frank McAninch and sister Rose Kenny, brothers-in-law John Anderson, Luke Anderson, Owen Anderson, Robert Anderson, William Anderson and sister-in-law Margaret Anderson. Betty was born in Lennoxtown, Scotland and immigrated to Canada some 63 years ago. Betty will be remembered fondly by patrons and staff of the Seaway Mall for her regular weekly visits over the decades. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Greater Niagara Falls General Hospital for the wonderful care given to Betty. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held in the Cudney Chapel on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
