Eileen Minnie Buchanan Milne

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen, following a lengthy illness on Saturday, August 31, 2019, with family by her side at Meadowood Manor.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Colleen, Robin (Lynne), Sherry (Rick), Carol and Bonnie (Dave), grandchildren; Kelly (Carmen), Tracy (Dean), Dale (Tracey), Kerri, Shannon, Brandy (Jeremy), Carly, Scott (Mellisa), Shelby, Grayson and Piper, great-grandchildren; Brooke, Holly, Audrey, Spencer, Keeley, Isla, Emma, Carter and Brady.
She was predeceased by her husband Colin, son-in-law Wayne and her loving, furry companion Daisy.
Mom was born in Selkirk, MB on October 24, 1926 and grew up in Gladstone, MB. She graduated in Gladstone then moved into Winnipeg where she attended Success Business College. Mom met dad at the Policeman’s Ball and later married on June 7, 1947. Mom and dad enjoyed travelling together to many wonderful locations and spending time with their loving family. They also enjoyed playing pretty competitive card games.
Mom also enjoyed quilting, reading, music, old movies, and let’s not forget bingo and slot machines. She was a long time member of Churchill Park United Church and a many year member of the Fort Rouge Curling Club.
Mom often told us that she lived a full and wonderful life with no regrets.
A special thank you to the staff at Meadowood Manor for their love and care for our mom.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in mom’s memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Manitoba and Winnipeg Inc.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Eileen Minnie Buchanan Milne..
