EILEEN JOHNSTON
(nee ANDERSON)
At the age of 90, mom passed away peacefully at Oakview Place in Winnipeg.
She was raised near Starbuck and Fannystelle, and never lost her love for the Manitoba countryside.
Mom was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Mel, and one child Bobby.
Together Mom and Dad raised three boys, Calvert, Gordon (Dianne), and Douglas (Brenda), and they lived in several provinces from Saskatchewan to New Brunswick.
Mom loved seeing our great country from sea to sea, but she loved her five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren even more.
Mom’s ashes will be buried in a private ceremony held by her sons where she will be reunited with her father, husband and the land that she loved. She always joked that her final statement should be “I’d rather be here than in Toronto!”
No service by request.
