Obituary of Edward Zwolinski
Edward Walter Zwolinski passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Providence Place, Moose Jaw. Ed, at the age of 80 was predeceased by his parents, and his brother George (Maryanne). He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Joseph (Jean) Lindsey, nieces Tracy Campbell and Jody Lindsey. He will be missed by his great-nephew Allan Campbell and great-niece Lindsey Campbell (Josh Gagne) and by his many friends both at Revera The Bentley Retirement Home and Providence Place Moose Jaw. Ed was born to Bill and Julia Zwolinski on December 3, 1938 in Moose Jaw, SK. He grew up attending Westmount and the Albert E. Peacock Technical High School. After finishing his formal education, Ed found employment at CPR in Moose Jaw. He worked there faithfully for over 33 years before retiring in the early 90’s. Ed lived for hockey. He was an avid Red Wings fan, rarely if ever missing a televised game. He was known for being able to quote any hockey statistic. He was a strong supporter of the Moose Jaw Warriors, holding season tickets, and never missing a game. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 10:00 am at Rosedale Cemetery, where Ed will be laid to rest with his family. A special thank-you is extended to the wonderful friends and staff both at the Bentley and Providence Place, and also heartfelt gratitude to Fran Banting for the love and support shown to Ed over the years. In living memory of Ed, a memorial tree planting will be made by Jones-Parkview Funeral Services.
