Edward Deem

Edward Alan (Ed) Deem
November 19, 1950 – August 30, 2019
Peacefully after a courageous battle. Predeceased by his parents Bill & Marion (Kalbfleisch) & wife Linda (Farr). Survived by a brother Jim (Sandra) of Listowel, aunt Iris of Michigan as well as cousins in the USA and Canada. Brothers-in-law Harold Farr (Gail) of Belleville and Paul Farr of Stratford. Ed spent 32 years at ITT Guelph and then went on to Securitas Security until retiring to Arnstein, Ontario in 2015. Ed was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Guelph for many years. He is survived by his spouse Lynda Breese and her children Steve Kucherawy, Nancy Borin (Paul), Jeffery Kucherawy (Jenn); grandchildren Tyler and Trevor Kucherawy, Jesse and Matthew Borin, Samantha, Alexandra and Michael Kucherawy; Lynda’s sister Beverley Shipley (Bob) whom Ed & Lynda always met up with on their vacations in Florida and of course Lynda’s brother Jim who always looked forward to Ed’s visits (Wellington Terrace Fergus Ontario). Ed was a man of few words. Here in Arnstein he was dubbed “Quiet Ed” but he was certainly an observer. Nothing got past Ed. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday, September 16, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated. 519.271.7411 www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
