Douglas James Jones

Obituary of Douglas James Jones
In loving memory of Mr. Douglas James Jones who passed away unexpectedly at the Temiskaming Hospital on Sunday September 1, 2019 at the age 65
Doug will always be remembered by his beloved wife Donna, his stepdaughter Tiah Akse, his grandchildren Henry and Calliope Carroll, his niece Carol (Glen Black), his great niece Anita Black and great nephew Dean Black.
He was predeceased by his parents Lena (nee Thornloe) and Orville Jones, his sister Janice McDonald and brother-in-law Dave McDonald.
Doug enjoyed keeping busy with woodworking projects, snowshoeing, camping and fishing but he treasured his time of being with Donna. He was a gentle soul and a quiet loving listener.
Doug’s family will receive friends and family at the Perrin Funeral Chapel on Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 2 until 4 pm and from 7 until 9 pm. A time of sharing remembrances will be held during the visitation at 8 pm.
If desired, donations to the Temiskaming Hospital Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
“I still miss you every day, but I’m thankful for every day I got to have with you.
Pain still exists because I lost you but so too does the joy that came from knowing you.
I’m lucky to have had to say goodbye but I’m luckier because I had someone who made saying goodbye so hard.
Love you now and forever.
Donna”
