Obituary of Doreen Patricia Reynolds
With heavy hearts, the family of Doreen Reynolds announce her passing, which occurred on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Carleton Kirk Lodge. Born May 31, 1919 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Rachael (McAfee) Kindred, and wife of the late Malcolm Reynolds.
Doreen was a charter member of the Edith Allaby Mission Group and an active life member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was a part of the Harmony Club, the Keenager’s Club, and a member of the Saint John Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
Doreen is survived by her son, Peter Reynolds (Linda) of Burnaby, BC; daughter, Wendy Gurschick of Saint John; grandchildren: Kristin, Elizabeth, and Jordan; great-grandchild, Malcolm; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Muriel Hughes and Althea McCaig; and brothers: Harold, Hartley, Garfield, Lloyd, Raymond and Clarence.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425), with visiting on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1 pm from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel.
