Donald William Urquhart P.Eng
Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the age of 95. Loving husband of the late Edith (nee Smith). Cherished father of Joan Moody (Doug) and Robert Urquhart (Barb Ringham). Adored grand-dad of Jeffrey Moody, Alison Jordan (Lance) and Kira Urquhart and great-grand-dad of Brooklyn Jordan. Donald loved his family, classical music, quoting Shakespeare, borrowing library books on quantum physics and golf. Last year he completed 90 rounds of golf, regularly shooting under his age. One of the highlights of his golfing career was shooting 2 holes-in-one, in his early 90’s, within the same month. A Celebration of Life will be held at the BARRIE COUNTRY CLUB (635 St. Vincent Street, Barrie) on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 3-5 p.m. Memorial donations to Hospice Simcoe or the RVH Foundation would be appreciated.
