Diana Helpert

Born in Bell Island, Newfoundland on July 28th, 1952, went to be with her heavenly father with her loving family at her side on September 1st, 2019. She is rejoicing in his presence. Her love and faith for her lord was strong and admired by many. Loving wife of Donald Helpert also of Bell Island, Newfoundland – together for 20 years. Devoted and loving mother of Scott Drowns (Dominika), Amanda Pereira (John), and stepmother of Jennifer Hasket (Ken). Beloved “Hanny” to Brittany Pereira (Anthony) and Lydia Pereira (Alex). Loving step grandmother to Sabrina, Jasmine, Gabriella, Brooklynn, Aries, Olivia, Scottlynn. Adored Great “Grandma” to her Leelee Bear (Liam). Predeceased by her parents (Chesley and Sadie Lilly), two brothers Chesley Lilly (Bonnie), Gary Lilly (Roberta), and baby sister Madonna. She will be sadly missed by her brothers Andy Lilly (Nora), Hunter Lilly (Joan), Rod Lilly (Debbie) and many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Our family would like to say a very special thank you to her loving “Sister” Ellie and “Dad” Bill, as well as Jonathan and Savi for being such a support during her life and especially over these last few weeks. Thank you to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital ICU and palliative nurses for their great care. Also, a special thank you to Mario RN who showed our family such love and kindness especially to Hanny.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the McKERSIE-KOCHER FUNERAL HOME 114 Main St. E. Milton 905-878-4452 on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 7 pm to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 2 pm with visitation starting at 1 pm.
