Obituary of Dennis Francis Halk
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the age of 71.
Beloved husband of Brenda, loving father of Rebecca (Nick) Dietrich, Jon (Jessica) and David (Gretchen), cherished Papa of Evaliene, Peyton, Elyse, Marley, River and Finley. Dennis is also survived by his brothers Richard (Mary Lou), Dan (Betty), Steve (Wendy), sister Debbie (Mike) Fortney and brothers and sisters-in-law Brian (Sherry) Pugh, Bob (Patti) Pugh and Beverly (Bob) Drexler.
Predeceased by his parents Wilma and Frank Halk and his in-laws Rev. Bette and Rev. Bill Pugh.
Dennis loved sales and had an entrepreneurial spirit that led him into several businesses. He loved people, especially his family, his church family and his many friends.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Dennis with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Glen Acres Baptist Church, 223 Hartwood Ave, Waterloo on Thursday, October 3 at 11:00 am with Rev. Bill Horne officiating. A reception will follow. Interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
