SORETTE, Dennise Michelle-
It is with great sadness that the family of Dennise Michelle Sorette
announce her passing on September 26, 2019 in South Shore Regional
Hospital, Bridgewater, following a hard fought battle with cancer.
Dennise was born on May 1, 1971 and grew up in Dartmouth, NS.
Following her graduation from Dartmouth High School, Dennise earned a
Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Youth Studies from Mount St.
Vincent University. Dennise began her career as a Resource Specialist
at Bridgewater Day Care before moving to work as an Early
Developmental Interventionist with Bright Beginnings and then NSECDIS,
serving children throughout Annapolis County. She loved her work and
was dedicated to helping and advocating for her
“kids” and their families. Dennise trusted that she
would experience eternal life through Jesus Christ and was an active
member of the Bridgetown Baptist Church. Dennise was predeceased by
her grandparents Garth and Yvonne Crouse and Henry and Phyllis
Sorette. She was very much loved and will be forever missed by her
parents, Dennis and Vesta Sorette, sister and brother-in-law Nicole
and Adrian Gardner, nephew Elijah and niece Grace as well as her
aunts, uncles and cousins. For anyone wishing to make donations in

Special thank
you to all of those who provided excellent care and support to Dennise
and her family including Dr. Jaykumar, Kim Poirier and Dr. Rutledge
(Oncology at Dixon Centre), Dr. Gowan, Noeleen Reilly, and Shirley
Oickle (Palliative Care), Dr. Robertson, Dr. Marier and Dr, Proctor
(Bridgewater), Rachel Sarty and staff of the Chemo department (South
Shore Regional Hospital), as well as the excellent nursing staff on
the fourth floor of the South Shore Regional Hospital. The family will
receive friends from 7-9pm Monday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home,
Wileville. Memorial Service 11:00am Tuesday in Bridgewater Baptist
Church. Rev. Adrian Gardner Officiating. A reception for family and
friends will immediately follow the service with a private Family
