Obituary of David Ashton
January 16th, 1954 – September 30th, 2019
David George Ashton passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the age of 65 years.
He leaves to mourn, his companion, wife and mother, Nancy Elaine (nee Peyman) of over 40 years; his wonderful children Jennifer, Melissa and Michael Ashton; his grandchildren Alyson and Jack; his parents Ev (Pauline Marin) and Marjorie (Souter) Ashton (Charlie Stickney); his three sisters Susan Ashton, Dr. Kathryn Ashton (Dr. Paul Newman), Mary Jane McGuire (Mathew); brothers-in-law Paul and Dave Peyman; sister-in-law Carol Peyman; and several aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Arthur and Noreen (Ball) Peyman; and cousins Kerry Brown (Glenna), David Souter (Bill and Marilyn) and Stephen Alguire (Mary).
Special thanks to friends and neighbours for their help and support. Thank you to the nurses, Kelly and Chelsey; the Palliative Care Team and Dr. Premji for their great care and support.
A celebration of Dave’s life will be held at the Cedar Valley Golf and Country Club, 7041 County Road 29, Brockville on Saturday October 12th, 2019 from 2pm to 4pm.
In memory of David donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.
