Dale Debnam

Dale Edward Debnam – After a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Thursday, September 19, 2019. Dale was born on January 8, 1945 at the very same hospital. Much loved husband of Karen, proud father of Kevin and his wife Kerri and doting grandpa of Madeline. Dale will be sadly missed by his brothers and their spouses; Clare and Barbara, Grant and Mimi, Laurie and Jan. Also, left to mourn his passing is his mother in-law, Norma Smockum and the rest of the Smockum family, including Brian and Elaine, Brad and Cathy, Steve and Debbie, Keith and Darla, Gwen and Garry, Jan and Jim, Edi and David. His constant teasing will certainly be missed by many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by friends and family. Dale enjoyed many sports including hockey and baseball. He was also an avid nascar fan and enjoyed racing standardbred horses. Dale was a 39 year employee of General Motors. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Palliative Care, Ross Memorial Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will take place at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 1:00p.m. until time of tributes at 2:00p.m. Celebration to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care Unit or SickKids VS – Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
