Clifford Long

Long, Clifford James – Passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital on September 13, 2019 at the age of 75. Clifford was a loving father, grandfather, brother and great friend to many. He dedicated his life to his family and the game of hockey. Clifford spent over 60 years in various arenas, and he loved every minute of it. Clifford was a respected scout for the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League and was a fixture at Minor Midget games throughout the area. He also loved watching his grandchildren play and was their biggest fan. Clifford is the loving father of Jeff Long (Tammy). Cherished grandfather of Connor, Zoë, Mac, and Thad. Dear brother of Phil (Doris). Clifford will be dearly missed by niece Angela, nephews Todd and Chris, and extended family, friends and the hockey community. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Saturday, September 21st from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A Celebration of Clifford’s life will be held at The Locker, 14 Cameron St. W., Cannington, Ontario from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. If desired, a memorial donation to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
