Clayton Fraser

J.E Clayton Fraser
Bras d’Or
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Clayton Fraser, age 65, on Monday, September 23, 2019, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Bras d’Or on May 17, 1954, he was the son of the late Maurice and Philomena (Jessome) Fraser.
Clayton was a first-class mechanic who was always willing to do anything for anyone. He was a very patient person, who took the time to explain things to people. The job had to be finished. He was a member of the Labourer’s Union, Local 511, and also worked for Joneljim for many years.
Clayton was a fantastic man who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his soulmate and wife of 43 years, Debbie (Reashor), his children; son Clayton Jr. (Charmaine), daughters Jennifer Lee (Ted Porter), and Sheila Marie (Thomas Burke) and son Stephen. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Cailean (mother Kim), Samuel, Lisa, Ayden, Sammy, Charlee, Preston and Ryder, his fur baby Coco, brothers Eric, Greg (Lena), sister Madelyn (Jim), and sister-in-law Joy.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Ronnie and Carl.
Clayton’s family would like to thank Dr. Peter Poulos and Sarah, Dr. Lisa McInnis, Dr. Seliba, and the staff of the ER and 4A at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, for the excellent care given to Clayton and his family.
Visitation for Clayton Fraser will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019, from 5-9 p.m. in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. A celebration of his life will take place Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery. Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
