Carolyn (Kelly) Ramona Udchitz
February 25th, 1961 – September 4th, 2019
It is with profound sorrow the family of Carolyn (Kelly) Udchitz of Breton, Alberta announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the age of 58 years.
Kelly was the second youngest of nine children born to John and Louise Udchitz. You would think that being born into such a large family that Kelly got lost in the mix but her gifts and unique talents were many.
Kelly was very artistic. She would take a piece of wood and transform it into a bird in a cage or a duck nestled into a nest of rushes.. Kelly was raised on a farm and developed a love for animals. Many times she and Wanda would come across an injured animal in their travels and get it help often incurring out of pocket expenses. She had a huge heart. She leaves in passing her two dogs, Mischief and Tude, which were family to her.
Kelly loved the dynamics and high energy of our large family gatherings (mostly the food). She would buy small gifts for everyone. Last year she bought out the LED turkeys at the Dollar Store and we all got one. Kelly had an amazing personality and sense of humour. She was a profound story-teller and was the life of a party.
Kelly was mechanically inclined. She repaired her vehicles and could manufacture make-shift repairs for most everything. She was a heavy equipment operator and aspired to be a race car driver. She was an excellent driver.
Kelly kept current on news events and held strong opinions on every topic. If you didn’t agree with her she would present her opinion over and over until she wore you down.
Kelly was environmentally conscious. Items that one person would discard often had “Potential” for her. She lived by the adage that “one man’s trash was another man’s treasure”.
Despite being taken from us unexpectedly and much too soon she believed that “we are not here for a long time but for a good time”. Truer words could not be spoken in Kelly’s case. We love you dear Sista!
Kelly leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memory her mother Louise (Smolski) Udchitz, her siblings; Roseanna (Andy) Kremeniuk, Sharon (Terry) Kremeniuk, Anthony Udchitz, Cindy Gronlund, Evalon (Ray) Woloszyn, and Wanda (Brad) Wood, sister in law Iris Watson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Kelly was predeceased by her father John Udchitz, her brother David Udchitz and her sister Sue Gronlund.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at a later date.
If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Alberta SPCA, 17904 – 118 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5S 2W3
