Starchuk, Carolyn (September 7, 1938 – September 2, 2019)
It is with great sadness that the family of Carolyn Starchuk (née Brohman) announce her death on Monday, September 2, 2019 at A.R. Goudie in Kitchener in her 81st year. Carolyn leaves behind her children Leisa (Ron) Desmoulins, Lynne (Mark) Holmberg, Maria (James) Giffen, and Jon (Jennifer) Starchuk to remember her lovingly. She will be sadly missed by her six grandchildren Kristian Holmberg, Max, Mose, and Lily Desmoulins, and Sam and Emelia Giffen. Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her—their presence lit up her face. Carolyn is survived by her sisters Marolyn McGinty (Jim Finlayson) and Rosemarie Startek (Ron), brothers Michael, John (Carol), and Christopher (David Beckner) and sister-in-law Mary Brohman. Carolyn was predeceased by her son Grant (February, 1960), her husband Victor (September, 2013), her brother Charles (June, 2019), and her parents, Gilbert (January, 1993) and Marie (née Koehler, October, 1972) Brohman. Cremation has taken place. Carolyn’s children will host a celebration of life for extended family members at a later date.
