Cameron Robert Imrie
December 08, 1972 – September 09, 2019
Memorial Donation
In loving memory of Cameron Robert Imrie, beloved son of Sheila Imrie and the late Robert Imrie.
After a happy childhood spent in Dryden, ON with the father and mother he adored, Cameron moved to Kelowna, B.C. in 2002 and worked in security and various jobs in the construction industry. He made many wonderful memories on his adventures doing what he loved best; fishing, kayaking, archery competitions, camping, and hunting. All who knew Cameron knew of his encyclopedic knowledge of amphibians and reptiles and were proudly shown his many aquariums full of thriving “critters”. Although those who were close to him were aware of his quiet intellect, upon his death we discovered he was a prolific writer who wrote the most achingly beautiful poetry. Despite his rather imposing physique, Cameron was gentle and empathetic by nature and, as described by his neighbour, was “such a nice man with a big heart”.
Cameron, you were loved so much by many and will be greatly missed.
Cameron is survived by his Mother, Sheila of Dryden, ON, Uncle Brian (Maureen) Smith of Winnipeg, MB, Auntie Sharon (Martin) Neufeld of Prince George, BC, Auntie Lynn Brickman and Uncle Ralph Wragg of Dryden, Auntie Eleanor (Ross) Stryvoke of Tofino, BC, Uncle Ken (Karen) Imrie of Red Lake, ON, and Uncle Dennis Bastien of Elliot Lake, ON. He is also survived by his Cousins Lee Smith, Dwayne Smith, Dawn Bursey, Joy Erickson, Sharman Ojah, Erin Brickman, David and Heather Imrie, Bradley, Dennis, and Mitchell Bastien, Ellen Laplante, Sandra Simms, Joe and Bob Stryvoke, Charlene Brough, and Jeffery Imrie.
He was predeceased by his Father, Robert Imrie, very special friend Krystal, Grandparents Lee and Marie Smith and David and Margaret Imrie, Auntie Grace Bastien and Cousin Paul Stryvoke.
