It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gail (DeLong) Cropley at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 21, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was born on May 23, 1958 to Charles Wendell and the late Dorothy Alberta (McGaghey) DeLong, and she was the loving wife to husband Robert “Bob” Cropley.
Gail worked for Bank of Montreal for many years in the Remit and Security section. After leaving the financial industry, she went to work for Costco and really enjoyed the customer service field. She was a take charge kind of lady who loved to organize anything. She was the go-to person to remember all the birthdays and anniversaries and milestone events in the lives of her family and she loved to host all those events. She was great at delegating tasks to others to make sure each party went off without a hitch. Gail and Bob used to camp and trailer and she thoroughly enjoyed those times. She had a great love for her nieces and nephews and just loved her family above everything else. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her beloved husband Bob and her father Wendell, she is survived by her sisters, Judy DeLong, Lynn (Rick) Beaudoin; sisters-in-law, Lorna (Ron) Carrier, Debbie (John) Cochran; brothers Tom, Bob (Kim), and Neil (Nancy) DeLong; brothers-in-law, Terry (Krista), Donald (Tracey), Ronald (Cathy), Danny (Sheryl), and Paul (Debbie) Cropley; along with several loved nieces and nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her mother Dorothy and her adored cat Mittens.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 12-1:30pm with a funeral service to follow at 2pm in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial Donations can be placed to the SPCA – Animal Rescue League, the Canadian Transplant Society or to a charity of your choice.
