1928-2019
Antoinette D’Amour-Goudreau passed away at the Campbellton
Regional Hospital on September 25th, 2019, at
the age of 91. Born in Baie Ste-Anne, she was the daughter of Antoine
D’Amour and Graziella Turbide, both from the
Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
She is survived by five children: Michel (Mary Lou Ruet);
Hélène (John Courty); Julie (Rodrigue Guitard);
Juliette (Jean-Yves Normandeau) and Daniel (Faith Reid) and a sister
Sr Julie D’Amour (FMA) as well as sisters-in-law, a daughter-in-law
(Suzette Ouellette), a son-in-law (Gérald Duguay) and many
nephews and nieces, grandchildren (12), great grandchildren (10) and 2
great-great grandchildren.
Her spouse Remi Goudreau (1995) and fifteen brothers and
sisters preceded her as well as four of her children: Antoine (1965);
Claudette (2009); Robert (2011) and Cyril (2017).
Antoinette Goudreau spent most of her active life in
Pointe-à-la-Croix where she became involved in the Cercle
des fermières and several other community
organizations.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Savoie
Funeral Home in Campbellton on Friday, September
27th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday
morning, September 28th from 9:30 am to 10:30
am. A service will be held at St. Helen’s Church in
Pointe-à-la-Croix on September 28th
at 11 am followed by the burial of ashes at the cemetery.
