SMIT, Alice – At her residence surrounded by the love of her family on Monday September 23, 2019. Alice (nee Hoeve) Smit of Kensington Village, London and formerly of Mohawk St., Woodstock and RR# 1, Beachville in her 100th year. Loving wife of the late Tinus Smit (2003). Beloved mother of Harry and his wife Gwen, John and his late wife Jann, Bert and his wife Bev, Tineke Schmidt and her husband Doug and Jack and his wife Debra. Loved grandmother of Tineke, Andrew, Stephen, Mark, Nathan, Jenelle, Adam, Brandon and Kiana and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by six sisters and two brothers. Friends can visit with the family at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, 170 Clarke St. Woodstock on Thursday September 26th, 2019 from 10am to 11am where the Funeral Service will take place at 11am with Rev. Peter Burrill officiating. Interment in Hillview Cemetery. Contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Emmanuel Reformed Church would be appreciated and can be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue Woodstock (539-0004).
