Obituary of Rita Evelyn DeBie
DeBIE, Rita Evelyn – Surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health, Rita passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Robert. Dear mother of David DeBie, Sarnia, Michael DeBie (Robin), Sarnia, Marcel DeBie (Gina), Sarnia, James DeBie, Sarnia, and Teresa DeBie, Toronto. Loving grandma to David Jr., Carrie-Ann, Sarah, Jason (Tara), Tyler, Nicola, Cora, Eva and Leyla. Great-grandma of Araya, Ryleigh, Ava, Kane, Zara, Ella, Lyra and Cléa. Predeceased by parents John & Helen Copps. Rita was the Post Master at the Courtright for over 30 years retiring in 1996. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 10 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia Lambton, 8-420 East St. N., N7T 6Y5.
