Leona Mary (Lanteigne) Henry wife of Frederick Henry of Linda Street, Miramichi, passed away at her late residence on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the age of 94.
Born in Nelson, NB, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Elizabeth (Comeau) Lanteigne. She worked in the meat department at A& P in Toronto and also was a member of The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Fallon of Miramichi and Stella MacDonald (Late Ken) of Miramichi; one son, Tony (Bonnie) of Burlington Ontario; one sister, Geraldine McIntyre of Miramichi; two brothers, Bobby and Donald (Maureen) both of Miramichi; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Norman, Edmond and Jerry and Sisters Doreen Lanteigne and Rita McGaughey, sister-in-laws, Alice and Charlene, great granddaughter Stephanie and great grandson William.
Leona Mary (Lanteigne) Henry is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy with visitation on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11 am at The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Father Paul LeBlanc officiating. Burial will follow in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
