James Michel Jim Blake

The family of James (Jim) Michel Blake (born Imre Fonagy
Suto) are sad to announce his passing at the Doctor Everett Chalmers
Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 surrounded by family.
Born in Hungary on December 1st, 1939 to the late Imre and Maria
(Molnar) Fonagy Suto.
Jim Immigrated to Canada from Hungary in 1957. He was a
member of the Canadian Armed Forces. Jim went on to a career in
construction and later founded Arcade Construction 1982 LTD. He loved
the outdoors and could often be found golfing, camping and fishing. A
member of the New Maryland United Church, Jim dedicated years of
service to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 and New Maryland Lions
Club.
Jim is survived by his wife Judy (Hogan) Blake and his
“little brother” Ian Stewart who he met through his years of
volunteering with Big Brothers & Big Sisters. Jim is also
survived by his nephew Krisztian, niece Beata, their children and
numerous extended family.
Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by his brother
Miklos (Mike) and sister Ilona.
Judy would like to thank the staff of Extramural and Dr.
Stephen Pond for their care and compassion.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road
Fredericton, where visitation will take place on Friday, September 6,
2019 from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Saturday,
September 7, 2019 at 11AM from the New Maryland United Church with
Rev. Dr. Kelly Burke officiating. Interment to follow in the adjoining
church cemetery.
For those who wish, memorial contributions to the NB Lung
Association, Fredericton Area SPCA, Salvation Army or to a charity of
the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the
family.
