1920-2019
Cordeiro, Jose Verissimo – Passed away peacefully with his
family by his side at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday
September 3, 2019 at the age of 98. Predeceased by his beloved wife
Maria Luisa. Cherished father of Maria Jose Feteira (the late Jose),
Maria Eduarda da Silva (the late Mario) and the late Carlos Alberto
Cordeiro. Proud grandfather of Nellie Goulart (Tony), Paul da Silva
(Paula), Gary Feteira (Traci) and Jeff da Silva (Suzanne) and loving
great-grandfather of Justin Goulart (Katie), Austin Goulart (Shannon),
Maya da Silva, Lia da Silva, Jayden da Silva, Ethan da Silva, Brennan
da Silva and Makayla da Silva. Predeceased by his parents Jose
Verissimo and Antonia de Jesus, as well as his siblings Maria Jose,
Conceicao, Gloria, Merces. Isabel and Manuel. Jose will also be sadly
missed by his sister in law Maria de lurdes, as well as many nieces,
nephews and extended family and friends. Resting at Corbett Funeral
Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where family and friends will be
received on Wednesday September 4, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. Mass
of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Roman
Catholic Church, Elgin St., S., Cambridge, on Thursday September 5,
2019 at 10a.m. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Thank you
to our support nurses, doctors and staff at the Cambridge Memorial
Hospital, the P.S.W’s who were so amazing to help us with
dad’s care, as well as his family doctor Dr. Churiniak. Jose
will be sadly missed by his welcoming nature and beautiful smile.
