Obituary for
Charles McNally
McNally, Charles – 82, Truro, passed away September 1, 2019 in East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Dublin, Ireland, he was the son of the late Charles and Rose (McCulloch) McNally. Charlie enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as spending time with his grandchildren and cooking. He was a former boxer and enjoyed playing darts. Charlie worked as a mason for the Dept. of Government Services. He was known for his sense of humour. An avid animal lover, he especially enjoyed birds and his Jack Russell Terriers. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Kay who passed away in 2004.
He is survived by his daughters, Catherine (Romas) Kaknevicius; Andrea McNally-Saywood (Mark); son, Charles Robert (Amanda); grandchildren, Brendan and Kate Morrison, Marissa Clarke, Jack and Kieren Saywood, Chad and Kathleen McNally; great grandchildren, Weston, Chloe and Charley Morrison; sisters, Kathleen, Imelda; brothers, Peter, Malachy, Martin.
Along with his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen “Kay”; sisters, Mary, Rosaline; brothers, Ned, Jimmy, Richard, Jackie.
There will be no visitation by request. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 4 at 2:30pm in Immaculate Conception Church, 669 Prince St., Truro with Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiating. Interment at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made to Kanes Kitchen in care of Immaculate Conception Parish. Arrangements are under the direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
