He worked as an animal wrangler on several movies, was a founding member of S.H.A.I.D and was often seen behind the horse teams at local fairs to the streets of Lunenburg. He spent the last few years with his dog Buddy, and his friends at “The Argyll”.
He is survived by sons David and Ralph; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; sisters Lorraine and Faye; brother-in-law Owen; nieces and nephews; and special friend Lisa.
Butch was predeceased by his parents; sons Truman and John; daughter Loreen; sister Deborah; and brother-in-law Richard, Gerry, Earl and Ron.
Cremation has already taken place. A memorial gathering will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to S.H.A.I.D, ElderDog Canada, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home New Ross Funeral Chapel, 4935 Hwy #12, New Ross, B0J 2M0 (902-689-2961).
