George Joseph Girouard of Route 11 Village-Saint-Laurent NB passed away Friday September 20, 2019, at the age of 74.
Born in Village-Saint-Laurent NB, he was the son of the late Magloire and Elizabeth (Poirier) Girouard. He was a retired grader operator for Girouard Construction and a member of Eglise Catholique Saint-Bernard.
He is survived by one daughter, Angela McKnight (Sheldon) of Napan, two grandchildren Brady and Kaleb, special friend Anne Marie Hicks, nine sisters, Isabella Roach, Claudia (Frances Beaulieu), Marguerite (Norman DesRoches), Blanche Roach, Melita Pineau, Corine(Edgar LeBreton), Violette and Micheline, sister-in-law Emily (late Leandre), three brothers, Lucien (Linda), Léonard (Giselle) and André (Sylvie) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers Amand (Jeanne D’arc), Ronald and Léandre.
George Joseph Girouard is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, with visitation on Wednesday fro, 4-8.Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 2pm at Saint-Augustin Roman Catholic Church, Lagaceville with Father Regent Landry officiating.
