Kelly Dwayne Chapman, late of Saskatoon, SK, formerly of Arcola, SK, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2019 at the age of 71 years. Kelly was predeceased by his loving wife Sharon Chapman. Kelly will be deeply missed by his children Tammy (Del) Wyatt and Chad (Lori) Chapman; his grandchildren Kristopher (Mary-Liz) Wyatt, Paige Wyatt (Dustin Brown), Kelsey Wyatt, Ashley and Mathew Chapman; as well as great-grandchildren Hannah and Philip Wyatt. Kelly was very proud of his family and especially his great-grandchildren; they will certainly miss their Big Papa. Kelly embraced his new chapter in Saskatoon. He was blessed to find friendship and support from St. Thomas Wesley United Church. His church welcomed him with open arms and gave him a place to serve just as he had done for so long in Arcola. Kelly kept busy helping out at the CHEP market which ran every Wednesday. This brought him great joy and a feeling of home. The 50-Plus club was also important to him, as he had made some very meaningful friendships, connections and enjoyed a great lunch for only 2 bucks! His recent move to Riverside Terrace brought him a whole new experience and even more friendship. His participation in Prairie Hospice was also an integral part of his journey in Saskatoon. We are all so grateful for these connections. He continued to cheer for the Jays, Riders and the Leaf’s. He was very happy they signed his favourite player, Marner! With the AK Combines being simply too far away, Kelly started cheering for the Saskatoon Blades. He and Hannah had a great time cheering for the Blades together in their matching jerseys! The family of Kelly Chapman wish to express thanks to all of those who assisted in the loving care of Kelly since he arrived in Saskatoon, and especially in his final days. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital. To all of Kelly’s friends near and far, new and old; we thank you. Now that they are together again, the family invites you to celebrate the lives of Kelly and Sharon Chapman.
