Paul Frederick Tanner, age 75, of Stratford passed away suddenly at home on September 13, 2019. Born in Stratford, son of the late Jack and Gertrude (White) Tanner. Predeceased by his brother William (Bill) Tanner.
Beloved husband of Joan (Davidson). Loving father of Allen Tanner and Susan Tanner-Hamilton (Toby). He was cherished by his loving granddaughter Alexis. Lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Annie Sullivan, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and lifelong friend Joe Leyser and special friend Jim Hanlon.
Paul farmed in the Gore of Downie for many years before moving to Stratford. He always enjoyed his time with his coffee buddies.
The family would like to thank Dr. Snider, his caregivers Anne Marie and Tammy etc, the staff of CCAC and the Dr’s who helped him through heart and cancer complications.
Friends and relatives will be received at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday, September 15, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow. At Pauls’ request, casual attire please.
